The challenge

Our legacy enterprise orchestration platform was struggling to support the complex reality of modern business automation. Traditional enterprise applications require combining different software components, implemented by different teams across various environments, to create end-to-end automated business processes. The existing platform forced users through a fragmented, multi-environment journey that created significant friction and operational complexity.

The Fragmented Experience Problem

The legacy platform architecture forced users to navigate between four separate environments to complete a single orchestration workflow:

  1. Component Catalog Environment - Browse and search for pre-configured services and business capabilities

  2. Composition Environment - Design and arrange workflow sequences and execution conditions

  3. Deployment Environment - Configure and release compositions to production

  4. Simulation Environment - Test process behaviors and validate integrations

This fragmentation meant that creating a single business process solution required context switching between disconnected systems, making it nearly impossible to maintain workflow continuity or understand the full lifecycle of orchestrated solutions.
